The Founders
Founded by Bader Asad and Prince Lail, Degen Toonz is a growing brand that was born on the blockchain in February, 2022. Prior to the development of Degen Toonz, both founders were pursuing their own individual dreams - Asad spent his time building fashion brands, jewelry enterprises and learning the development of blockchain technology; Prince made his mark in the music and fashion industry designing for A-List celebrities and growing brands around the globe. After thirteen years of friendship, it was only natural for them to come together once again to co-create. Degen Toonz wouldn’t be their first collaboration, but it would go on to become their greatest accomplishments. Degen Toonz began development in late December of 2020, launching publicly a little more than a year later. Once public, the project minted out in less than one week on February 22, 2022, and is currently surpassing over 700 million social engagements since inception and over 100K social mentions per month.
