ittybits introduces a new cryptographic concept: Hash-Matched IDs. Each ittybit's punk-matched ID# also matches the last four digits of its SHA-256 file hash, confirming its authenticity and rarity. SHA-256, a secure one-way process, turns the image data into a distinct 64-character string. Even a tiny change to the image radically alters this code. To curate the final 10K ittybits, over 648 million ittybits were generated!
