While 10KTF has not publicly shared a product roadmap, they’ve hinted at future plans through lore. 

10KTF is a storytelling NFT project that progresses the storyline through tweets on a consistent weekly basis that happen on Thursday at 6pm EST. As true fans we are the protagonists in the story representing wagmi-sans true frenz. Throughout the story we have helped wagmi-san from paying New Tokyo gangs protection money by holding onto his shops materials, rebuilding his shop when it was burnt down, and helping wagmi-san take a stand against the Kaiju in season 1. 

The story unfolds by creating full immersion through multiple platforms.

Season 2 has been teased but no missions have started yet. 

If you own tools, you have the ability to stake them in return for APE tokens on a daily basis. There is no limit to the number of tools you can stake, provided they belong to the same wallet address with which you are connected. Keep in mind that each time you decide to stake or unstake, you will need to pay gas fees.

The 10KTF Stockroom holds the materials, tools, and blanks for Wagmi-san’s shop that allow you to create the bags, shoes, hoodies, and other items seen in the 10KTF genesis collection. The materials in this collection (thread, rubber, cloth, Gucci material, etc.) can be combined and “burned” to create “blank” versions of the wearables from the 10KTF genesis collection.

Stockroom Tools

Tools can be used to craft blank NFT items such as hats, backpacks, and other items that can be combined with certain parent NFTs (such as Bored Apes). Only holders who own certain parent NFT avatars like Bored Apes can craft 1/1 items that incorporate the parent NFT.

Stockroom tools are reusable items that can be used as many times as needed to craft as many blanks as you like. 10KTF's staking feature allows everyone to craft blanks without buying their own tools or borrowing from a friend. You can borrow tools from the shop when you connect to craft. (You will still need materials in your Metamask to craft blanks.)

What is tool staking?

If you own tools, you have the ability to stake them in return for APE tokens on a daily basis. There is no limit to the number of tools you can stake, provided they belong to the same wallet address with which you are connected. Keep in mind that each time you decide to stake or unstake, you will need to pay gas fees.

Stockroom Materials

Stockroom Materials are consumable items that can only be used once to craft blanks. According to 10KTF’s lore, collectors aren’t able to craft blank socks at this time due to supply chain issues in New Tokyo. Minting PFPs on socks is available on a limited, weekly basis.

Blanks are digital items crafted by Wagmi-san that can be brought back to his shop to be turned into a final finished item with the art of your desired parent NFT on it. The desired parent NFT must be a collection supported by 10KTF, and you must own the parent NFT in the same wallet as the blank. 

Blanks can take the shape of Level 1 Genesis, Crafted, or Level 2 Combat Gear. (These come into play in Battle.town, 10KTF’s event platform where holders can use their items to participate in game missions.)

Tea Leaves are an off-chain resource in Battle.town Season 2 and beyond. Their exact uses and redemption mechanics will be revealed in the coming weeks, but Tea Leaves can be earned as rewards during Missions.

Tea Leaves and Storypoint Badges cannot be traded or transferred between wallet addresses.

As different types of Missions are rolled out in Battle.town Season 2, different types of rewards will be introduced. 

Kagamis are the first 10KTF physical displays. The supply is very limited to only 893 pieces. We still don’t know much about the utility other than them being an amazing digital display.

On October 2, 2023 all Tools were converted to ERC-721 tokens.  

What are Bells? 

Bells are a reward earned by Tools holders in Bounties that can unlock a Tomo trait. Tomo traits are only available to Tools holders when they earn Bells. Joining a Team Bounty with a captain who is equipping a Tool will not yield Bells for other team members. 

Bells will be an off-chain reward at first, but towards the end of Battle.town Season 2, participants will be able to trade Bells for a limited time.
 
When Bells trading has ended, all unused Bells will expire and self-destruct.
10KTF will announce trading and burn dates in fall 2023.

How are Bell rewards calculated? 

Bells are earned in fixed amounts based on the Tool equipped to the loadout, and are available to Tools holders only. Loadout points for Tools will remain static and are not aggregated in a participant’s total loadout score. See the values of Tools equipped on Bounty loadouts below.

What is the Tomo trait? 

The Tomo trait is a scarce attribute in 10KTF’s upcoming PFP collection, and is only available to Tools holders who have earned Bells. The limited Tomo trait has three tiers, with its caps revealed on the Leaderboard. 1,295 Tomo traits will be awarded to the top 1,295 earners of Bells. More information about the Tomo trait will be announced in a future product release.

"A new chapter for Tools has arrived. On October 2, 2023 – all Tools will be converted to ERC-721 tokens and returned to their original wallets.  ERC-721 conversion allows Tool holders to earn Bells, a Battle.town Bounty reward reserved for Tool Holders only. Bells will become tradable assets, like Popcorn rewards. Earning Bells unlocks a new limited PFP trait.  Begin equipping Tools on Bounties October 5, 2023. Tools cannot be equipped as a sole item in a loadout."

High Tops Mint, September 17, 2021

10KTF was launched in September 2021 by WeNew Labst. The project began in the discord server of the Bored Ape Yacht club when rendered Nike Air Force Ones were created using IP of several apes within the community. This turned into a project that got passed onto the top projects in the NFT space at the time. Projects like 0N1 Force, World of Woman, Bored Ape Yacht Club, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, Bored Ape Kennel Club, Pudgy Penguins, and Cool Cats were afforded the opportunity to right click save a rendering of their NFT IP on High Tops (or) mint the High Tops for 0.05 ETH.

Daypacks Mint, September 23, 2021

For those that minted this was the beginning of the genesis collection. Two days after the High Tops were minted a new window opened that allowed community members to mint their IP onto a Daypack. Over this period of time a story was being told from the 10KTF shop twitter. An old man that is a master craftsman from New Tokyo is a tailor for the metaverse. He is able to craft these goods from his shop. Word travels fast to wagmi-sans enemies that wagmi-san is having great success. This results in an early closure of the shop which abruptly ends the mint for Daypacks.

Wagmi-san abandons his shop to avoid being found by an unknown enemy (who we later identify as BOSS_TOADZ). A dagger is ominously jammed into the counter, and a mysterious note is left behind: “You said 10, not 7”. They are not happy about the early closure during the Daypack’s mint.

Recently named an advisor for Yuga Labs.  Beeple is Mike Winkelmann, a graphic designer from Charleston, SC, USA who does a variety of digital artwork including short films, Creative Commons VJ loops, everydays and VR / AR work. 

After he began releasing a set of widely used Creative Commons VJ loops he has worked on concert visuals for Justin Bieber, One Direction, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Eminem, Zedd, deadmau5 and many more.   

One of the originators of the current "everyday" movement in 3D graphics, he has been creating a picture everyday from start to finish and posting it online for over ten years without missing a single day.

Guy O'Seary, Co-Founder

Oseary began as an independent A&R rep in 1989 at the age of 17, he soon became one of the first employees of Madonna's Maverick record label in 1992.

At the age of 19, Oseary joined Maverick Records as an A&R executive, and then rose through the ranks to chairman, developing a roster of artists that included The Prodigy, Alanis Morissette, Deftones, The Wreckers, Paul Oakenfold, Michelle Branch, Summercamp, and soundtracks on such film series as Austin Powers, The Matrix, and Kill Bill. Oseary guided Maverick to sell over 100 million albums worldwide and secured its spot as one of the industry's leading boutique labels.

What is Battle.town? 

Battle.town is a companion user experience within 10KTF. Participants use their 10KTF items and parent NFTs as Avatars to participate in the story through a series of strategic and gamified Missions and Bounties. After connecting your eligible wallet, you will be able to select from available Missions and Bounties to send your avatars, equipped with 10KTF items loaded into equipment slots, to help Wagmi-san’s cause. 

In addition to this FAQ, review our Terms of Service for all legal terms governing participation in Battle.town. In the event of a conflict between the FAQ and Terms of Service, the Terms of Service will control. 

Which wallets can I use? 

Battle.town currently supports Metamask, and is also compatible with hardware wallets connected to Metamask. Battle.town uses warm.xyz for secure wallet delegation. 

Note: Changes to wallet delegation may also invalidate a loadout on a Mission or Bounty. 

Can Tools be used in Battle.town? 

Tools will be eligible for equipping in Battle.town loadouts only when converted to ERC-721 tokens. The Tools conversion to provide this additional Battle.Town utility will take place on Monday, October 2, 2023. 

Beginning October 5, 2023, Tools can be used to equip Bounty loadouts when combined with another qualifying Battle.Town item. Tools cannot equip Bounties as the sole item on a loadout. 

Equipping Tools in a Bounty gives Tools holders the opportunity to earn Bells. Only Tool holders are eligible to earn Bells. See below for more information. 

Will all Tools become ERC-721 tokens? 

All Tools will be ERC-721 tokens during the conversion on Monday, October 2, 2023. 

What are Bounties? 

Bounties are a new Battle.town mode for Battle.town Season 2. Join a Bounty individually, or as part of a Team Bounty with up to 5 members per weekly Bounty. Participants can send their PFP(s) on a Bounty, a Mission, or strategize to divide and conquer by entering loadouts in both. 

Depending on the Bounty, participation may be restricted by the type of loadout required. 
 For example: requirement of Tools, select PFPs, matching sets, G Tags, Storypoint Badge count, and more. 

Bounties do not have a registration window and can be joined at any time before their scheduled end time. However, once a Bounty has been joined, a participant cannot leave the Bounty and rejoin later. 

Be mindful of the duration of each Bounty as Double-Feature Bounties may extend into the following week’s Mission registration period. Avatars and 10KTF items cannot join more than one Mission or Bounty at a time. Participants can decrease Bounty durations using Tea Leaves or PUMA Slipstreams. See more about Caffeine Speed Bounties below. 

A participant’s individual strategy should consider the optimal loadout for the Mission or Bounty in which they are registering. For example, a single Bounty may have a different optimal loadout as compared to a team Bounty. 

How do Caffeine Speed Bounties work? 

Use your Tea Leaves to complete Bounties in half the time. As of August 31, 2023, Tea Leaves can be used as a Caffeine Speed boost in both individual and team Bounties. To boost a team Bounty, the lobby host must Speed Up the bounty and pay tea leaves during lobby setup. The number of Tea Leaves required for a Caffeine Speed boost is based on individual loadout score. The higher the loadout score, the more Tea Leaves required. All invitees will then be required to pay tea leaves to join the Caffeine Speed Bounty. 

 

How do Grailed PUMA Slipstreams obtain Caffeine Speed boosts? 

Loadouts equipped with a Grailed PUMA Slipstream NFT will receive Caffeine Speed boosts without submitting an allotment of Tea Leaves. All loadouts, whether they contain a Grailed PUMA Slipstream NFT or not, are limited to 1 Caffeine Speed boost per Bounty. 

Note: team member and captain loadouts can become invalidated if wallet delegation is changed during a Bounty. 

If the captain of a Caffeine Speed team Bounty has their Slipstream invalidated, all members of the team Bounty will lose their Caffeine Speed status and will no longer complete the Bounty in half the time. Tea leaves spent during that Bounty will be refunded. 

If a single team member of a Caffeine Speed team Bounty has their Slipstream invalidated – that member’s loadout will be invalidated and the team’s bonus multiplier will be recalculated without that member. 

How do Battle.town Missions work? 

You’ll choose and confirm your loadouts, based on the Avatars and 10KTF items you have, during a Mission registration period. Mission registration periods may vary and will be announced on Battle.town’s notification center, and/or 10KTF’s official Twitter and Discord in the #old-walkie channel. 

Once a Mission begins, additional participants cannot join and the Mission’s progress can be tracked from the Battle.Town homepage. At the end of a Mission, rewards are calculated based on each player’s loadout compared to the total pool. See more about rewards below. 

Only certain parent NFTs can participate as Avatars in Battle.Town. See the full list of eligible NFTs below. If you don’t have one of the listed NFTs, you can participate with a Blank Avatar. Blank Avatars are available directly in the Battle.town platform to all Mission participants. However, they won’t earn as many rewards as Avatars from the below list, and aren’t eligible for certain bonuses. 

You must equip your eligible parent NFT or Blank Avatar with at least 1 finished Level 1, Level 2 10KTF item(s), or a Grailed PUMA Slipstream NFT and help Wagmi-san secure victory.

How do I fuse my G Tags? 

From your connected wallet on Battle.town, navigate to the Inventory page and select the Fusing option. This link will open the Fusing page where eligible G Tags will display the total Popcorn amounts for each class loaded on the G Tag. Fuse in quantities of two, four, and eight. 

When can I fuse my G Tags? 

There’s a limited number of each Tier that can be fused, and fusing priority will be given based on the number of Badges participants have earned. Fusing opened for all G Tag holders on September 23, 2023. 

Are there any limits to G Tag fusing? 

Subject to the fusing schedule, badges earned, and Tier limits, Participants may fuse as many G Tags as they hold. 

Are there any Tier limits? 

To ensure a balanced collection, Tier limits will be adjusted relative to the final collection size as fusing progresses. 

What is Popcorn loading? 

Popcorn loading allows participants to allocate Popcorn they have earned to a G Tag of their choice, using the token ID of each G Tag. Allocating Popcorn has an impact on the class and rarity of your developing PFP. 

How do I choose my class with Popcorn? 

PFP class is determined by the type of popcorn of which you have the highest count on a G Tag, relative to all Battle.town participants with loaded G Tags. Trait rarity is determined by the total count of Popcorn loaded onto a G Tag regardless of type. 

There will be a similar number of PFPs in each class. As such, the top percentage of G Tags loaded with each type of Popcorn will secure its class. Therefore, it is advisable to load multiple types of Popcorn on to each G Tag. If your G Tag does not make the cutoff for any top percentages, a class will be assigned. 

Example: All Battle.town participants have loaded Mosura Popcorn to their G Tags, since not all PFPs can be Mosura class, only the top percentage of G Tags with Mosura Popcorn will secure a PFP in the Mosura class. 

How do I load Popcorn? 

To load Popcorn, navigate to the G Tag tab from the Inventory page and select a G Tag. After a G Tag has been selected, a Popcorn loading screen will appear with the available types and quantities of Popcorn available for loading. 

It’s advisable to load your G Tag with more than one type of Popcorn from most-desired class, to least-desired class. In the case that your most-desired class has reached capacity, you’ll want backups. If your G Tag does not make the cutoff for top ranking of any Popcorn type, a class will be assigned.. Loading more popcorn will help your chances but does not guarantee that you’ll meet the necessary ranking. 

Example: All participants load Mosura Popcorn and the Mosura class is full. Remaining G Tags are allocated to classes according to the next highest loaded Popcorn types. 

Once Popcorn is loaded, it is permanent and cannot be removed or transferred. Check how your G Tag stacks up against other G Tags in the Popcorn Leaderboard. 

What is the Leaderboard? 

As G Tags get loaded with Popcorn, the Leaderboard displays the rankings for each G Tag based on each Popcorn type, as well as the overall Popcorn quantity. As Tools earn Bells in Battle.town, these rankings will also be displayed on the leaderboard. Connect your wallet and select a G Tag or Tool to view its rankings. 

You’ll also be able to look up the rank and holdings of specific G Tags and Tools using the leaderboard. 

What is the best way to set up my loadout? 

You determine the best way to set up your loadout. You decide which Avatars and 10KTF items to bring into battle. Your outcomes are a function of those decisions, which are impacted by things like the tier of the 10KTF items equipped, their rarities, and any bonuses attained. It is highly recommended that you fully equip your Avatar with 10KTF items in order to optimize your loadout. The specific value of each 10KTF item will be revealed over time. 

Your optimal loadout may also vary depending on the type of Mission or Bounty. So you should make your choices accordingly. 

What are Bonuses and how do they work? 

Bonuses are multipliers assigned to Avatars. A larger multiplier is assigned to Avatars that enter a Mission equipped with 10KTF items that correspond to that Avatar’s accessories, and a smaller multiplier is assigned to Avatars equipped with 10KTF items that don’t match that Avatar’s accessories. Each Avatar that’s equipped with 10KTF items that match its Avatar’s accessories gets a 20% multiplier to loadout score. Each Avatar that’s equipped with 10KTF items that do not match the Avatar’s accessories gets a 10% multiplier to loadout score. Bonuses are subject to balance changes in future versions of Battle.town. 

Example: 4 slots filled up, 2 items match the loaded Avatar = 10% + 10% + 20% + 20% = 60% total bonus multiplier 

What is a base power, and what is the base power of each 10KTF item? 

A base power is a starting value that 10KTF has assigned to 10KTF Level 1 and Level 2 items. See the base powers assigned to each 10KTF item below:

What are Level 1 and Level 2 items? 

Level 1 items are accessories from the 10KTF Genesis or Crafted collections. This includes High Tops, Daypacks, Hats, Hoodies, and Socks. 

Level 2 items are from the 10KTF Combat collection. These items include Helmets, Kevlar Vests, Boots, and Weapons. Combat items will give participants the ability to yield higher points on set bonuses in Battle.town Missions. 

How does rarity affect my 10KTF items? 

10KTF item rarity is another way in which a multiplier is available. The greater the rarity of a 10KTF item, the greater the muItiplier, as follows: 

Common: 1x 
Uncommon: 2x 
Rare: 4x 
Epic: 8x

What is the Inventory page? 

Battle.town will feature an Inventory page to view progress in and keep track of loadout scores for completed Missions and Bounties. Toggle between the Inventory and Badges tabs to view totals in each category. Use the G Tag tab to view and load Popcorn to G Tags by token ID. 

On the Inventory tab, track the quantity of Tea Leaves earned on Missions and Popcorns earned on Bounties. 

On the Badges tab, track the quantity of Storypoint Badges earned for each Season 2 Mission. This tab also contains Storypoint Badges earned on the connected wallet during Season 1. 

On the G Tag tab, use the token ID to select which G Tag you want to load with Popcorn. Loading G Tags with Popcorn is permanent and cannot be reversed or transferred. 

What kind of rewards can I earn by completing Bounties? 

Participants earn Popcorn by completing Bounties. Accumulating certain types of Popcorns and establishing connection with a G Tag helps impact the class and rarity of the PFP. 

Visit the Inventory page on Battle.town to view Popcorn you’ve accumulated. 

Bells, a reward reserved for Tool holders, can also be earned on Bounties for loadouts equipped with Tools. Bells can only be earned by Tool holders, regardless of a team or individual Bounty. 

What are Bells? 

Bells are a reward earned by Tools holders in Bounties that can unlock a Tomo trait. Tomo traits are only available to Tools holders when they earn Bells. Joining a Team Bounty with a captain who is equipping a Tool will not yield Bells for other team members. 

Bells will be an off-chain reward at first, but towards the end of Battle.town Season 2, participants will be able to trade Bells for a limited time.
 
When Bells trading has ended, all unused Bells will expire and self-destruct. 10KTF will announce trading and burn dates in fall 2023. 

How are Bell rewards calculated? 

Bells are earned in fixed amounts based on the Tool equipped to the loadout, and are available to Tools holders only. Loadout points for Tools will remain static and are not aggregated in a participant’s total loadout score. See the values of Tools equipped on Bounty loadouts below.

What is the Tomo trait? 

The Tomo trait is a scarce attribute in 10KTF’s upcoming PFP collection, and is only available to Tools holders who have earned Bells. The limited Tomo trait has three tiers, with its caps revealed on the Leaderboard. 1,295 Tomo traits will be awarded to the top 1,295 earners of Bells. More information about the Tomo trait will be announced in a future product release.
